We started working with our client, Mortlake Law & Mediation, on a comprehensive SEO for family law, leading to a 238% increase in ranking keywords. Mortlake Law & Mediation, a reputable legal practice, encountered significant challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The firm struggled to adapt to the new ‘virtual norm’ and experienced a serious downturn in client enquiries. To help them recover and attract more clients, we devised and implemented a tailored SEO for family law strategy aimed at enhancing their online presence and visibility.

Initially, they instructed Inspires Marketing Ltd who quickly identified that they needed to revamp their digital presence in order for a business growth strategy to not only attract potential enquiries but also convert them into active clients.
Before the content for the new site was created, Susie sought the expertise of PinkSEO to ensure the new site would enhance Mortlake Law’s visibility and drive traffic through search engine optimisation (SEO). Objectives:
- Achieve first-page rankings for targeted legal services
- Increase organic traffic to the website
- Generate a steady pipeline of inquiries from potential clients
Our approach to SEO for family law included optimising their website for relevant legal keywords, improving site structure, and creating high-quality content that addressed the concerns and needs of potential clients. Additionally, we focused on local SEO techniques to ensure that Mortlake Law & Mediation appeared prominently in local search results, making it easier for nearby clients to find and engage with their services.

ORGANIC SEARCH VISITORS INCREASE
In July of the first year, Mortlake Law ranked for a total of 90 keywords. There were no keywords in the top 3. Just 4 keywords on the first page of Google (two of which were variations of the business owner’s name), 8 keywords on the second page, and more ranking even lower.
After 6 months of working together Mortlake Law’s website ranked for 298 keywords (+231%).
As a further consequence of our work, the total users of their website improved by +230% – from 126 in July of year one to 416 in February of year two.
The sessions improved from 175 to 620 (+254.2%) and Page Views improved from 440 to 1501 (+241.1%).
On Google Analytics, ‘Organic Search’ lists visitors who are finding a website after using a search engine like Google or Bing. The number of visitors coming to Mortlake Law’s website from ‘Organic Search’ grew by 694% in 6 months.
Today, they still rank in the top results of the first page on Google for “family lawyer South West London,” which, considering the location of the client (Sheen, SW14), is extremely targeted and appropriate.
