Over the past 20 years, Edx Education has become a leading supplier in the international education market, exporting to more than 90 countries.
We began providing ecommerce SEO services to this global brand during the pandemic, a unique period when many parents had to balance working from home with homeschooling and entertaining their children. This situation highlighted the importance of Edx Education’s products, making our collaboration even more impactful.
our approach
We began the SEO for manufacturing process with a thorough analysis of the website and identified several technical issues. To optimise the site, we removed broken links and 4xx errors, fixed broken images, addressed pages with multiple H1 tags, and resolved issues related to page speed, bots.txt, and the sitemap, among other technical aspects.
Next, we optimised all products and pages for both branded and non-branded keywords. Given Edx Education’s renowned status, it was crucial to ensure that people searching for specific product names could easily find them, as well as prospective clients in the “discovery” phase who were seeking ideas for the best educational resources and toys for various needs and situations.
We then developed a content plan to create new content. Our goal was to establish the brand as the primary reference point for educators and parents searching for information and advice on “learning through play” (the company motto), catering to both children with special needs and those without.

TOTAL KEYWORDS INCREASE
SEO is a data-driven science, and here are some figures showcasing our achievements. In May 2021, when we began our collaboration, Edx Education was ranking for 425 keywords in total, with 11 keywords in the Top 5. They had 3,334 total users, 1,837 of whom were coming to the site through organic search, accounting for 54% of the total.
After one year of collaboration, by May 2022, Edx Education was ranking for 1038 keywords (an increase of 144%) with 40 keywords in the top 5. They had 4,137 targeted users, 2,103 of whom were coming to the site through organic search. These figures demonstrate the significant progress made in improving the site’s visibility and attracting a more engaged and relevant audience.
By October 2023, the website ranked for 3200 keywords (a further 208% increase), with 69 securing positions in the top 5. This substantial improvement highlights the success of our SEO strategy in attracting targeted traffic and boosting the site’s visibility to the ideal customers.
From November 2023 to May 2024, we focused on optimising shopedx.co.uk, the primary sales site for Edx Education. In just 6 months, we achieved equally impressive results, significantly boosting visibility by increasing the number of ranking keywords from 2,900 to 3,500 (a 21% increase).
Significantly, we increased the number of keywords ranking in top 3 positions from 141 to 216 (up 53%), helping drive traffic to priority product areas. This swift success underscores our ability to deliver powerful SEO outcomes in a short timeframe, enhancing the brand’s online presence and reaching a wider, more targeted audience.
